Helping Fellow Humans

At FHS H.E.A.T., we are committed to serving the citizens of our community and the globe through philanthropic efforts. Our passion is to encourage inclusivity, acceptance, and understanding of others and to strive to uplift the underprivileged. H.E.A.T. members shape the world by raising funds and advocating for several human-centered issues, such as global famine, domestic police brutality, and impoverished children.

PAST PROJECTS

Volunteer Opportunities:

Feed The City

We will be doing several of these events throughout the year, and they are held every month.

Event Description
Prior to the Event
Head over to the store and pick up the product. Remember, the more product that is brought… The more meals we will make.

Bringing a group?
Please let everyone in the group know the list of items of what to bring.

Here’s what to bring:
We request that each person attending brings some product. You can bring any of the items in any combination, but this is what we recommend...
• Meat: Please try to make this turkey, chicken or ham (we do not prefer bologna); Unfortunately, we cannot accept any meat from the deli counter
• Cheese: 16 slices each of cheese (no spicy cheese please!)
• Bread: Try to find a loaf that has 20 slices (not including the ends); Btw we definitely prefer wheat
• 1 bottle of yellow mustard
• 1 bag of Halos, Cuties or tangerines
• 1-2 bags of chips (not the individual bags)
• 100 count of Sandwich Bags (make sure they zip)

PLEASE TRY TO BRING AN EQUAL AMOUNT OF MEAT, CHEESE & BREAD. Example: If you bring enough slices of cheese for 72 sandwiches, bring enough meat and bread for 72 sandwiches.

Who Can Attend?
Remember, anyone can attend our events. We make this a fun atmosphere for all ages. Remember, you are responsible for anyone under 18y/o that is in your group.

Dates & Times
This event is always 7:30 AM - 9:45 AM unless stated otherwise near the date below. Please arrive between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM. We will begin PROMPTLY at 8:00 am

SHARE THE MEAL

ShareTheMeal is an initiative of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). WFP is the world’s largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger. Each year, WFP reaches 80 million people with food assistance in around 80 countries. WFP is 100% voluntarily funded, so every donation counts. WFP’s administrative costs are among the lowest in the non-profit sector – with 90% of donations going directly to WFP operations that are building a world with zero hunger.
